Key Success Factors from first article: The rewards programs are a big part of the hotel industry. The article states that the Marriott offers a free-night promotion by paying for two stays with their Visa card this year (2011). The Hyatt has the “Gold Passport Program” where you can earn loyalty points. For use in Section 3 Part 1
In this article Trejos discusses the need for ever-changing amenities in hotel rooms.  Hyatt and the Marriott are specifically mentioned in the article as being the top responders to customer needs in the hotel industry.  The need to change amenities constantly comes from the fact the customers are getting choosier.  This article could easily fit in with the section regarding the five forces.  The force of buyers is strong, as they have a lot of options when traveling and can easily find the amenities they desire elsewhere.
